Find Your Path

We're not just looking for residents. We're building a pipeline of future hospitality entrepreneurs. Whether you're testing the waters or ready to build your own SILK Yacht operation, there's a pathway for you.

The Big Picture

SILK Homes is part of SILK YACHT (Yoga, Arts, Cafe, Home, Tech). Our parent company SILK Corp is building a franchise model for women-owned small businesses in homestead hospitality. The ultimate goal: you learn with us, then launch your own operation.

What is "YACHT Balance"?

For Crew Members and Franchisees, we expect you to arrive with a foundation in all five YACHT elements. This isn't about being an expert - it's about being a well-rounded person who can contribute across the board.

Y
Yoga

A personal wellness practice. Yoga, meditation, movement. You take care of your body and mind.

A
Arts

Creative expression. Music, crafts, writing, design. You have an outlet and appreciate beauty.

C
Cafe

Hospitality skills. Cooking, serving, hosting. You can prepare a meal and make guests feel welcome.

H
Home

Domestic competence. Cleaning, organizing, basic repairs. You maintain spaces well.

T
Tech

Digital literacy. Email, spreadsheets, smart home basics. You're not intimidated by technology.

This Isn't a Training Program

We don't teach basic life skills. If you can't already cook a meal, clean a bathroom properly, or use a calendar app, we're not the right place to learn. Come capable, grow further.

The Application Process

1
Initial Inquiry

Fill out our contact form with your background, which pathway interests you, and why SILK Homes appeals to you. Be honest and specific.

2
Handbook Review

We send you our complete Community Handbook. Read it thoroughly. If anything is a dealbreaker, let us know. No judgment - better to know now.

3
Video Interview

A 30-minute video call to discuss your background, goals, and fit. We'll ask about your YACHT balance and what you're looking for.

4
Trial Stay

A 1-2 week paid visit to experience the community firsthand. You'll participate in daily life and meet current residents. Both sides evaluate fit.

5
Decision & Onboarding

If it's a mutual fit, we discuss placement, start date, and specifics. You'll have a 90-day probationary period as we all adjust.

The Bigger Vision

Think of the movie "Joy" - real people building something from nothing. That's what we're creating. A pathway from learning hospitality to owning your own business.

Learn

Master every aspect of homestead hospitality through hands-on experience.

Earn

Build savings, certifications, and track record while your housing is covered.

Launch

Start your own SILK Yacht operation with our brand support and mentorship.
